Hello and Welcome to the Rhue's Retroview's, I am Rhue and welcome to My Show. So just came back form seeing Spider-man 4 with my older brother's Lewis, Morgan and Chad. So while its still fresh in our heads let's do this retroview!!
Okay so to recap Spider-man 3: during the intermediate years of spider-man 2 to spider-man 3, Harry has forgiving Peter and learn that it was his dad killed himself ,by finding out form his butler who harry fired him. Peter and MJ (who has grown as a character) have reached a height in their relationship. Peter is ready to get married to MJ. meanwhile we found John Jameson son of J. jonah Jamerson has been drinking, not doing well, and Jonah has it out for Peter mainly because he's now engage to MJ John's EX.
Peter is also helping out Doctor Connors who has helping his old college mentor Adrian Toomes (Sir Ben Kingsley) working on a nanofiber suit. While having an argument a piece of the suit falls into Doctor Connors(Dylan Baker) bag who is working on a regeneration serum which had not been working. The nanosuit fused with the serum and Peter warning Connors not to use the serum turns into the lizard and goes out of control. The movie also introduce the black suit ending on a cliffhanger and Toby McGuire did a surprisingly good job, and writer J. Micheal Strazynki did an amazing job. Spider-man was actually a littler more funnier, a little more intelligent and the character arcs he goes throughout with MJ and Doc Connors/The Lizard is truly some of the best i'd ever seen.
So onto the story of Spider-man 4.
STORY: Picking up Exactly where spider-man 3 left off. we see a corrupt Peter Parker gets rid of the black suit as it takes hold of a new dangerous host and thus Venom is born. its also the fact that lizard is cured and the vulture has held Mary Jane Watson-Parker hostage. then things really go back shit crazy.
[SPOILER ALERT] Venom is revealed to be none other then John Jameson, who cannibalized the vulture. Peter also goes after venom in this EPIC aerial Dog fight. where Peter is bleeding and is beaten half to death. it was so brutal and the darkest in the saga but ends bitter sweet.
and even ironic that this is the last spider-man film sony has done as the rights had gone back to marvel who are gonna to bring Toby as Spider-man into the Avengers. so I'm happy to here this
Production for spider-man 3 & 4 where written by JMS in 2005. It was announce in 2008 that Spider-man four was in production since 2006 and this was hollywoods most expensive film yet and it was worth it!
Morgans score: dude it was like dark and gritty and realistic....Bat- Spider-man is AMAZING! Dude, its like the epicest thing in the universe!!5/5!!
Rhue: oh shut up you brickhead!
Lewis's score: My magic Gun shoots a 6/8 score, because this movie makes spider-man not a whiny douche nor a terrible mess like One More Day was! My faith in spider-man is restored...in this universe.
Rhune: what universe? why do you keep doing that lewis?
Lewis: Because... if you watch my review show people know what i'm saying, just watch it.
Rhue: a show where bad comics burn, why can't you be like chad?
Lewis: you're still Mad I didn't take you to see the Avengers?
Rhune: no, its cause you never picked me up form the Zoo. It was raining.... and you and Morgan where hitting on Mara wilson.
Chad: My take was that this film was...good. not amazing, not bad, or okay and my thoughts are that it was an interesting conclusion to a saga. while it had its flaws its a pretty good film.
Rhue: awesome job Chad! wait-not good?
Chad: it just didn't follow any basic principals, and while I did like seeing Agent Coulson showing up to give Spidey his avenger inactive speech, I was wondering why Samuel L. Jackson wasn't there? hence why it didn't follow any principals of the universes rule set.
Rhue: well that's just stupid.
Chad: okay well what rating did you gave it?
Rhue: I give it a 9.5 /10 Spider-man 2 is still the best in my opinion. but the final swing and how this series connects to the marvel universe shocked me! I am so happy that marvel reacquired the film rights to Spider-man during the making of this film. and JMS did a wonderful job, with uncredited work by Alvin Sargent.
